端午节为什么带五彩绳？

五彩是由红、黄、蓝、绿、紫等五个颜色组成。五月被古人称为毒月，所以为家人孩子系五彩绳是端午节的重要习俗，它有祈福纳吉的美好寓意。

每逢端午节，家家户户都在门楣上悬挂上五色丝绳，以避不祥；所以传统上用五色彩丝编成绳索，配以银锁，缠绕于手臂，以祈求辟邪去灾，祛病延年!

在端午节的清晨，大人起床后第一件大事便是在熟睡中的孩子手腕、脚腕、脖子上拴端午线。系线的时候，孩子不能开口说话。而一些已婚的男人也被妻子逼着戴上彩绳，很多男子担心被别人看到笑话，就悄悄系在脚踝上。

这系五色绳也有讲究，必须要在太阳没出来之前就系上，否则就会不灵验，而且五色绳不能任意扯断或丢弃，只能等到端午节后的大雨天时，将它扔在自家院墙的排水口，随雨水冲走。

端午节为啥要挂香包？

挂香包，也是为了驱除灾害、瘟疫。在古代，香包又叫香袋、香囊、荷包，是用彩色的碎布和五色丝线缝制而成，内部装有各种香料，戴在孩子胸前，不仅美观大方，香气扑鼻，还有驱避蚊虫的功效和祈求安康的美好寓意。

在所有的端午的习俗中，最富于静态美和温馨气息的莫过于制作和佩戴香包。以前医药水平不发达，人们就把具有杀菌作用的雄黄、艾草、菖蒲研成粉末，用布包起来戴在胸前，利用它散发出来的气味驱散夏天的蚊虫。

它是如何演变而来的呢？五月俗称毒月，根据风土志记载，农历五月五日为阳极之日又叫中天节，有制造各式各样避邪物的风俗，大家就开始用五色彩线系着一个装满艾草，雄黄和檀香粉末，混合香料的小布袋给小孩挂着，防止毒虫侵扰，有袪毒避邪的功用，并成为一种保命吉祥的象征。于是就此确定了香包的地位。

端午节小孩佩香囊，不但有避邪驱瘟之意，而且有襟头点缀之风。香囊内有朱砂、雄黄、香药，外包以丝布，清香四溢，再以五色丝线弦扣成索，作各种不同形状，结成一串，形形色色，玲珑夺目。
